Job Title:Radar Mechanical Engineering ManagerLocation:Cowes, we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary:Up to £69,000 dependent on skills and experiences + bonusIn this fantastic opportunity, you will be making a real difference both internally for our teams delivering and our customers across a broad market in both UK and Export.What you'll be doing:Leading and developing the Radar Mechanical Engineering team across an exciting product portfolio and the full engineering life cycleResponsible for the Learning & Development of the Mechanical Engineers reporting into you and working with the other Mechanical Engineering Managers / Mechanical Engineering Discipline Lead in actioning career moves according to development plansPlans and supervises the work of a team of engineers to accomplish specific engineering projects, directing work assignments, scheduling, and reviews of work in progressReviews technical feasibility of proposed solutions to engineering problemsProvides technical leadership in the resolution of complex technical problemsImplementing design changes, in accordance with standards, regulations alongside compliance with company standards, processes, and guidelinesLeading and reviewing Mechanical Engineering input and estimates into bidsUtilising a wide Engineering toolset and propose new tools, training, processes that would benefit the discipline and teamYour skills and experiences:Strong Mechanical Engineering background specialising in at least one area of the Mechanical Engineering discipline, i.e., Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, Structures or Thermal SystemsA broad understanding of the wider Mechanical Engineering disciplineThe ability to provide subject matter expertise and guidance to others within the same team or same discipline areaStrong leadership, stakeholder management and diplomacy skillsBeing a strong influencer in the Mechanical Engineering community, embracing change and continuous improvement throughout the organisationDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or other related disciplineCEng level or equivalent level of capabilityBenefits:You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
