R&D Scientist / Engineer

Location: Cambridge (CB5)
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 9am until 5:00pm but can be flexible (Monday to Friday)
Salary: �40,000 to �60,000

Polytec are looking for a Research and Development Scientist / Engineer for our client based in Cambridge.

Responsibilities:

* Set up and running of relevant RandD experiments
* Microwave plasma torch assembly
* Metrology installation
* Data analysis, report writing and summation of results

Requirements:

* Degree in a relevant subject, a PhD would be beneficial
* Good knowledge of plasma technology
* Previous experience within a precision engineering environment
* Familiarity of an RandD environment
* Excellent understanding of laboratory procedures, standards, and safety requirements
* Analytical and mathematical skills
* IT literate
