We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team within one of the busiest and most secure regions in the country, initially leading a new hybrid timber frame and RC frame development in Woking.

As our Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to the project. Your focus is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. This will also include procurement, subcontract management inclusive of administration of the contract, monthly payments and final account settlement.

In return, what we would like from you…

* HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent

* Experience of working within the Construction industry for a Main Contractor or JCT

* Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills

* Strong mathematical ability

* Ability to assess and analyse information

* Good understanding of budget management

* Negotiating and networking skills

* COINs user experience

* Enthusiasm

* Able to work within a busy team and under pressure

* Good team working skills

* Accurate with an eye for detail

* A methodical approach

* Willing to work extra to meet deadlines as and when the business needs require it

More about the Quantity Surveyor role…

* Collating and issuing tender packs for sub-contractor work packages

* Negotiation and analysis of Sub contractor tender returns

* Producing tender analysis for subcontract work packages

* Completion of Subcontract orders and variations

* Subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts

* Completing Monthly CVRs and cost reporting

* Cost reporting and budget control

* Attending site project meetings

* Responsible for project lead with HA, including prepare and issue monthly HA valuations, cash flow forecasts, key date trackers
