Join this Main Contractor and their family run construction company who are dedicated to their projects. They are one of the leading construction companies in UK and Ireland who pride themselves in delivering landmark projects for their clients.
We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a £20M Care Home in Romford. The project is starting the 8 week design period next week and starting on site in July. You would be joining this contractor and expected
Working with the likes of Google, Hotel Inn, Premier Inn and many more in sectors such as Health Care, Data Centres, Hotels along with Residential and Commercial our client covers a diverse range of medium to large scale projects.
Job details:
Travel to sites when necessary
Projects in health-care, residential, commercial, hotel and leisure
Conduct cost estimates and budget analyses for construction projects
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
Monitor project progress and costs, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings
Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and quality standards
Provide expert advice on cost-effective construction methods and materials
Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to cost and contracts
Experience required:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK
Ideally have experience with care home, healthcare or hotel/leisure
A degree in quantity surveying or related field
Proven experience with liaising with clients, stake holders and team members
Showcase longevity in permanent positions with main contractors
