Quantity Surveyor

I am working with a multi-national organisation who are looking to grow their Quantity Surveyor team due to an increase of social housing contracts. You will work closely with the Operational teams who are typically planned refurbishment works of Tenanted Social Housing properties. Your role is to obtain and evaluate information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services for designated Responsive & Refurbishment Projects.

Skills needed in the Quantity Surveyor role:

• You will have a wealth of experience from the Commercial aspect in our sector
• You will have experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor preferably within the Social Housing sector
• Analytical thinking to problem solving and situational based problems
• Your expertise will allow you to hit the ground running and contribute effectively to the team
• You will have a good understanding of IT with proficient MS office skills
• Contributing to teamwork working with clients and subcontractors building on trust, honest relationship

Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor role:

• Liaise with Contract Managers and establish the project specification and requirements
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for specified projects
• Prepare monthly valuation reports
• Monitor the contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs or time scale
• Assist in the control of contract budgets
• Assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to timescales
