Job Title: Quantity Surveyor, Construction Claims & Dispute ResolutionLocation: Central London with Hybrid WorkingPackage: Consultant (£45k to 60k), Senior Consultant (£60k to £85k), Associate Director (£85k to £100k) + 25 days annual leave and bank holidays, pension, healthcare and up to 30% bonusAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic consultancy specializing in construction claims and dispute resolution in Central London. My client provides expert services to clients navigating complex construction projects, offering insightful analysis and innovative solutions to mitigate risks and resolve disputes effectively. As a Quantity Surveyor within my client's busy and growing team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, collaborating with industry experts and contributing to the successful delivery of high-profile and interesting construction projects.My client is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team and someone who has a genuine interest in becoming a subject matter expert in construction claims and dispute resolution. The role offers the chance to apply your technical knowledge and analytical skills to support clients in resolving disputes, managing claims and ensuring a successful outcome for a wide range of clients.The Quantity Surveyor's key responsibilities will include:Analyse construction contracts, drawings, and specifications to identify potential claims and disputes.Conduct thorough quantity surveys and cost analysis to support claim assessments and dispute resolution strategies.Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant data and documentation for claim submissions and negotiations.Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and expert testimony to support claim positions and dispute resolution proceedings.Provide expert advice on contractual matters, cost management, and dispute
avoidance/mitigation
strategies.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction law and regulations to ensure compliance and effectiveness in dispute resolution efforts.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.Prior experience in construction claims and dispute resolutionProficiency in quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., CostX, Candy, Bluebeam).Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and project management principles.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and documentation.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.MSc in Construction Law or related field (already achieved or working towards completion).On offer is an opportunity for professional develop and career advancement, a dynamic and forward thinking work environment and culture led by industry leading experts, exposure to high profile construction projects and clients and a supportive team culture focused on innovation, excellent and integrity.
