ROLE:�Quantity Surveyor



LOCATION:�Sevenoaks, Kent

SALARY:�Circa. �50,000 - �70,000 DOE,�plus car allowance/company car, opportunity for progression, some home working
THE COMPANY:



Our client's refurbishment team is expanding, and they are in search of a Quantity Surveyror�to join them. They seek candidates with experience in main contractor roles within Social Housing refurbishment projects, partnerships, and frameworks.



The ideal candidate will have experience managing individual tenders up to �20m.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



**Pre-contract:**

- Aid in tender preparation, verifying major quantities.

- Analyze tender quotations, reporting exclusions to estimators.



**Project Delivery:**

- Understand bid allowances thoroughly and ensure a comprehensive handover from estimators.

- Collaborate with project teams for consistent project delivery.

- Assist Operations Manager in observing contractual processes, issuing notices, and maintaining records.

- Provide contractual and measurement advice to management.



**Procurement:**

- Develop and implement project procurement strategies.

- Support Group Procurement in communicating deals to subcontractors.

- Conduct subcontract interviews and negotiations.

- Prepare subcontract enquiries, analyze quotations, and negotiate packages.



**Main Contract:**

- Assist Operations Manager in providing accurate monthly reports to customers.

- Maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.

- Evaluate and agree on contract variations and instructions.

- Prepare and agree on monthly valuations with clients.

- Handle contractual claims and alternative proposals.



**Subcontract:**

- Negotiate interim valuations and final accounts with subcontractors.

- Measure, value, and process subcontract payments.

- Inform Commercial Manager of potential subcontractor claims.



**Financial:**

- Hold project profit and loss accountability.

- Manage cost systems and Cash Value Ratio (CVR) process.

- Forecast project values, costs, and margins.

- Raise concerns to Commercial Manager regarding cost and profit parameters.



QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have:

- Proven commercial experience with main contractors.

- Background in social housing and refurbishment contracts.

- Strong team-player with commercial, legal, and data interrogation skills
