We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has experience in the Water industry to join the commercial team working on a hybrid basis on a portfolio of projects.
There are positions available in the Inverness and Glasgow offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A QUANTITY SURVEYOR:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for water projects, considering factors such as materials, labour, equipment, and overheads
Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications, and analyse bids from contractors.
Administer contracts, ensuring that they are adhered to by all parties involved. This may involve assessing variations, valuing work done, and issuing payment certificates.
NEC Payment processes including detailed payment certificates and pay less notices.
Prepare regular reports on project costs, including forecasts, actual costs, and variances, for presentation to stakeholders.
Maintain regular communication with clients and other stakeholders, providing updates on project costs, progress, and any issues that may arise.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A QUANTITY SURVYEOR:
5+ years experience in the same or similar role.
Water experience is preferred, Utilities or Civils may be considered.
Stakeholder management experience.
Have a strong technical QS background; ability to prioritise.
