Quantity Surveyor

Job Description
Sphere Solutions are seeking a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our Client, who are a leading player in the Mechanical & Electrical Industry and are based in Cardiff. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and provide advice on contract arrangements.
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
- Monitor the progress of projects to ensure that costs are kept in line with forecasts.
- Prepare progress claims for work completed.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of financial management.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Certification from a recognized professional body is a plus.
