Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor, with over 50 years experience in delivering projects across commercial, residential, infrastructure, residential, education, and renewable energy sectors.
The Role
Reporting to a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks and infrastructure projects and work as part of the Midlands Regional Team who operate between Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Oxford and Leicester.
Responsibilities will include;
Responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the commercial function of the project, i.e. cost management reporting and supporting, change management, procurement as well as sub-contract/special supplies administration.
A deep understanding of the project's contractual and commercial requirements, including contractual compliance, quality and risk management.
A thorough understanding and competent execution of the monthly reconciled values and updated forecasts for approval by the Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor.
A sound understanding around the valuations cycle and associated deadlines, prioritising and managing both your own as well as the team's time accordingly.
Confidence and competency, with minimal input from the Commercial Manager/Senior Commercial Manager with dispute resolution and contractual entitlement.
