Company & Project:
An award winning Main Contractor operating across East Anglia are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a recent project win in Cambridge.
The business has a strong pipeline of New Build projects and track record of delivering flagship projects in the local area.
The current opportunity offers a unique role, working initially on a c£60m+ project as part of a long-standing team.
The company have won numerous awards and have achieved long standing success for their work, with many members of staff and the senior management team having worked for the business for decades.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for all quantity surveying functions on the job, from procurement of subcontractors, measurement & valuations, through to processing monthly applications for payment, handling claims and variations.
Desirable Experience:
Minimum 5 years+ experience as a QS.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Experience working for a Main Contractor.
Previous Roles: Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Package Surveyor OR Intermediate Quantity Surveyor OR Cost Manager.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, HNC or BTEC.
