Quantity Surveyor

Overview:

Our client, a leading property consultancy, is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to join the team in their West End office. You will work on both new build and refurbishment projects, typically with budgets ranging from £500,000 to £(phone number removed), but occasionally exceeding £(phone number removed). These projects will cover a wide array of sectors including industrial, life sciences, hospitality, office, retail, arts, education, residential, logistics, and civil engineering. While you'll generally be expected to work independently, senior management will be available to provide guidance when needed. This is a client-facing position offering great career progression opportunities for the right person, so we're looking for confident and knowledgeable candidates. The team works across the country, so travel for client meetings and site visits will be necessary; thus, you must have a driving licence. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, at least two years’ experience with a reputable PQS firm, and be RICS qualified.

Main Responsibilities:

• Developing cost plans and estimations.
• Analysing tenders and creating reports based on the results.
• Preparing interim valuations and financial reports.
• Negotiating variations and settling final accounts.
• Providing guidance and supervision to junior staff.
• Coordinating tender packs and managing the tendering process.
• Attending site and design team meetings.
