Quantity Surveyor - Newcastle Upon Tyne (M&E and Civils)



Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor seeking an exciting opportunity in the vibrant city of Newcastle and the surrounding North East region? Look no further!



We are currently seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, split between our office in Newcastle Upon Tyne and various project sites across the region.



Key Responsibilities:�




  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.�

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and assessments throughout the project lifecycle.�

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.�

  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements.�

  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and addressing deviations from budgetary targets.�

  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.



Desired Skills and Experience:�




  • Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.�

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with exposure to M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) projects.�

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.�

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.��

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Excel, CostX, or QSPro.�

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.�

  • Willingness to travel between our office in South Shields and various project sites across the North East region.
