Hampshire area

Circa �60,000 depending on experience.

Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful financial management of the projects. Your expertise will contribute to the overall project delivery by effectively managing costs, contracts, and procurement processes. Your keen attention to detail and strategic mindset will be instrumental in optimising project outcomes and driving the continued success of the business. In addition, you will have key involvement in the preparation and submission of high quality tenders and delivery of first-class process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of quantity surveying for projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets, monitor costs, and manage financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure efficient contract administration and compliance.
  • Preparation of tender submissions with detailed analysis of the tender documents to ensure a full understanding the client's requirements and constraints associated with the tender submission, to satisfy the contractual obligations.
  • Lead procurement activities, including tendering and contract negotiation.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution.
  • Analyse project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Implement systems and processes within the commercial team.

Requirements:

  • Degree / HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or another relevant subject.
  • Registered with the RICS / CICES and working towards professional chartership - preferable.
  • Experience working on civils, enabling and or earthworks projects.
  • Relevant CSCS card
  • Demonstratable knowledge of JCT form of contract.
  • Strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry.
  • Good command and communication of oral and written English.
  • Skilled negotiator and communicator.
  • Good people and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (ie. Excel) and other computer skills.
