Our client is a well-known establishment with a strong presence in Twickenham, specializing in Commercial Projects ranging from �500K to �10M in value. With an expanding portfolio and increasing workloads, we are seeking dynamic Quantity Surveyors to join our team and contribute to our continued success.



Position Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our projects. Working closely with our project teams, you will be responsible for managing the costs and contractual aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This includes estimating, cost control, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Prepare and submit tender documents, budgets, and cost estimates.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and advise on procurement strategies.

  • Manage procurement processes including subcontractor selection and negotiation.

  • Monitor project costs, cash flow, and variations.

  • Prepare and administer contracts, including interim valuations and final accounts.

  • Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.

  • Handle disputes, claims, and variations in accordance with contract terms.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.



Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on commercial construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Excel, CostX, and project management tools.

  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Membership or working towards membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
