Regional Quantity Surveyor Role - North West

The Project

As a Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience, you will be playing a significant role in numerous large commercial and education refurbishment projects, across the North West. You will be required to ensure effective and smooth project execution by overseeing cost management, procurement, contract administration, risk assessment, quality control, and client communication.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

  • A proven track record of completing various similar projects to a high industry standard
  • Extensive background, 5 years minimum of effectively operating in a Quantity Surveyor position or similar, with a record of success working on various large commercial and education refurbishment projects

Duties

  • Procurement
  • Reporting to Commercial Manager
  • Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them
  • Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
  • Coordinate and negotiate terms and conditions with clients and subcontractors
  • Prepare and manage contracts efficiently with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Regularly engage and collaborate with the team, providing comprehensive project updates
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for project costs, contracts, and procurement activities
  • Manage project budgets to ensure that expenses are maintained within established financial constraints
  • Efficiently monitor and predict construction expenses, covering materials, labor, equipment, and related costs
  • Procure materials, subcontractor services, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications
  • Identify chances to enhance project value by boosting efficiency, cutting costs, or improving quality without compromising project goals
  • Conduct precise quantity takeoffs and measurements from construction drawings and specifications to ascertain material quantities and associated costs
  • Ensure adherence to applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, encompassing health and safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards
