We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established regional contractor to join their specialist residential development and contracting division.

The company are an established contractor working across the south coast on a range of commercial schemes and turnover �60 million a year and have recently set up and invested in a new venture in the residential marketplace to both operate as a property and land developer as well as contractor.

They are targeting opportunities across Dorset, Hampshire and West Sussex and are looking at developments of around 10 - 50 units which they will either build in partnership or will buy and develop the land themselves. The vision is to be able to buy and develop land, take schemes through the planning process and then build quality bespoke houses.

They have secured several land opportunities and have started on site with one development and have others planned to start 1st and 2nd quarter this year and now need to add to the team by recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of the construction process.

You will be required to work with the estimating and development teams, assist with cost planning and forecasting before procuring and appointing subcontractors. You will then be responsible for the standard duties of a QS including package management, payments, valuations, running the variation account, remeasures, forecasting, reporting and CVR's.

Experience of working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 regional contractor is essential as well as experience of working within the housing or care home marketplaces.
