Energy Quantity Surveyor Fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with Energy & Renewables experience to join a well-established successful award-winning privately-owned Building Services Contractor, established over 45 years ago. The business has progressively grown and developed significantly over the years. The Energy team specialise in advanced solar PV systems and state-of-the-art battery storage solutions tailored for commercial infrastructures. Consistently providing unbiased, pragmatic and commercially-driven renewable energy solutions tailored for the business’s clients.You will be able to support in providing full commercial awareness to ensure the project management and operational delivery team are aware of all commercial and contractual matters involved on the project, whilst also providing support to the Commercial Manager & the Commercial Director as appropriate and required.You will be responsible for managing all the commercial activities of the specialist energy department. Duties & Responsibilities
Management of all commercial activities within the Energy Department. Working alongside the Design, Pre-construction, Estimating team ensuring commercial coverage. Review and negotiation of the Contract with the Client, with support from the Senior management team. Negotiate terms and Contract placement of the Sub-Contract Agreements with the specialist supply chain. Preparation and submission of valuations in line with agreed milestones. Management and agreement of change with the Clients and Sub-Contractors. Agreement of final accounts upstream and downstream. Monthly production and presentation of financial report for the projects in the department.Skills & Attributes Passion for Energy Sector Strong Commercial acumen Ability to work as part of a team supporting both the operational team and peer group Manage numerous activities across a number of projects simultaneously Outgoing personality essential for dealing directly with clients and their design teams Strong negotiation skills Flexibility with regard to working across all areas of the business, and hours to meet the requirements of this challenging position.
