Quantity Surveyor



Project Overview: We are seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join our dynamic team for a 6-month project in Sheffield, dedicated to the development and implementation of a 50MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This project is a pivotal endeavor contributing to the growth of sustainable energy solutions, and we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in ensuring its success.

Position Available:




  • Quantity Surveyor



Responsibilities: The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and contracts related to the 50MW BESS project. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:




  1. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for the project.

  2. Budget Management: Monitor and control project costs to ensure they align with the approved budget.

  3. Contract Administration: Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  4. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and contracts, and propose mitigation strategies.

  5. Change Management: Evaluate and manage changes to project scope, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals.

  6. Quantity Takeoffs: Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for materials and services required.

  7. Reporting: Provide regular reports on project costs, forecasting, and variations.



Qualifications:




  1. Relevant educational background and professional experience in quantity surveying or a related field.

  2. Good knowledge of electrical systems�

  3. Familiarity with battery energy storage systems is advantageous.

  4. Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  5. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  7. All candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
