Job DescriptionHedge Fund based in London Quant Trading Analyst £80,000 - £120,000 + up to 50% Annual BonusAn established and growing Commodity Hedge Fund based in Mayfair, London with over $150 million AUM, is seeking to recruit a Quant Trading Analyst to bolster its expanding Commodity Trading desk and Operations teams. This presents a rare opportunity for either an existing Commodities experienced Quant Analyst or possible a Commodity experienced Trading Analyst to advance their careers by joining a high-performing and consistently profitable fund.This role is tailored for individuals who thrive in a desk-facing environment and are enthusiastic about providing hands-on support to the trading desk. It is anticipated candidates will have base salary expectations between £80,000 - £120,000 p.a. depending markets experience with a performance bonus to 50%Why Consider Career Opportunity ? The firm has recently experienced a surge in Assets Under Management (AUM), onboarded new Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Traders, and is now seeking experienced Quant Trading Analyst to support a dynamic and high-volume trading desk.Core responsibilities include developing risk and operational infrastructure vital to the running of the company. Strong programming skills in Python, with ability to think critically and independently writing code in a finance specific context. Experience in commodities markets, particularly oil, with knowledge of swap and futures market Strong technical background with mathematical skills and an ability to convert principles into real-world applicationsThe role is multifaceted, involving tasks such as direct trade bookings, trade capture, PNL trade analytics, trade settlements, reconciliation, and trade life cycle management, as well as driving projects aimed at operational excellence.Essential criteria 2+ years of experience in fast-paced Trading environment with exposure to Derivative Commodity productsBachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM-related field such as Science, Technology, Economics, or Mathematics.Proficiency in IT skills, including Excel VBA Macros (ability to write and edit macros from scratch) and Python are essential Knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals
