Quantitative Developer - Commodities

Could stepping up and becoming the go-to Python expert for a rapid-growing investment manager be of interest?Python knowledge and commodities experience is the key here. You will be working extremely closely with the traders to build out their internal infrastructure whilst gaining exposure to innovative cloud technologies.You will have the benefit of being within a smaller firm, allowing you to see the fruits of your labour directly. If you’re tired of working within a larger firm, not being close to all of the action, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will be coming in as the sole developer, gaining responsibly and having the opportunity to leverage your commodities expertise.It’s the perfect next step to take if you are looking to progress within the commodities market.You’re going to need to be coming in with significant commodities experience, specifically oil, and good exposure to Python development. You will be working closely with commodities traders so you can expect to be quizzed on your domain knowledge at interview.This is a London based commodities fund, in their early stages of success. You will have the opportunity to grow with the firm and see the success of your work impact the firm as a whole. This is a highly collaborative environment, where you will leverage your technical knowledge whilst learning from commodities experts.This is a new role in a fairly new team and with that the salary range has not been 100% defined. However, saying "a flexible salary" isn't going to interest you, so we'd expect base salary to have a limit around the £120,000 mark.
