Job DescriptionRole: Quantitative Analyst / DeveloperLocation: Remote with office based in LondonSalary: £100,000 to £140,000 + bonus + benefitsWe're partnering with a prominent player in the energy storage industry to find a skilled Quantitative Analyst/Developer. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the pricing of advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS) and shape strategic growth initiatives.Responsibilities:Analyse and structure battery investment opportunities, collaborating with 3rd party providersDevelop battery optimization models to ensure competitive pricing across marketsForecast long-term price scenarios for various revenue streamsConduct in-depth market analysis to inform pricing strategiesEvaluate and challenge trading strategies utilized by external providersPresent pricing insights to key stakeholdersGenerate regular reports and competitor analysis to guide decision-makingProvide ad-hoc market analysis support as neededRequirements:Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.)3+ years experience in Energy, Utility or Commodity Trading with a focus on quantitative analysisProficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, or VBAStrong database skills with the ability to handle large datasetsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesOutstanding communication and teamwork skillsSelf-driven with a passion for learning and industry trendsDesirable Skills:Familiarity with Power Systems, Ancillary Services, and Commodity marketsKnowledge of stochastic processes and derivative pricingExperience with linear and stochastic optimization techniquesQCF qualification is considered advantageousThis is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading organization in the energy storage sector.If this role does sound of interest to you, please do apply to this advert, or feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn and I can share with you more details.
