A London based venture capital firm is looking for a newly created Quality and Training Manager role. The firm makes investments into pioneering ventures in the Advanced Technology & Industrial, Finance & Fintech, and Healthtech & Human Performance sectors. Through funding, active management, an internal accelerator and a network of partners, this firm actively incubates, builds and accelerates ventures with the potential to shape and define the future for
to come. They typically take majority positions in the businesses they own and focus on hand-on venture building with their Portfolio Companies on a day-to-day basis, as a result their Portfolio is small and concentrated.
Longbow Management Service UK Limited is the hospitality portfolio company specializing in luxury hospitality with operations in the UK and in Italy. We are scaling up the team to support the real estate development project in line with our branding and strategy and are now looking for a Quality and Training Manager to execute our ambitious vision.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Quality and Training Manager will have a key role in building and maintaining Longbow Service Designs in line with the company strategy and philosophy.
Central to the success of this role will be the capacity to implement, maintain and develop our operations policies, standards, and best practices as well as our Talent Programs to ensure consistency and uniqueness in our guest experiences, as well as engagement, pride and sense of belonging for our operations team.
Responsibilities
Will develop, improve, maintain and revise Standard Operating Procedures
Will ensure the accuracy, governance, and maintenance of SOPs
Will support the communication and training of SOPs to operational teams.
Will contribute to the development of informational or technical documents. Informational or technical documents may include, but not be limited to, regulatory documents, communication materials and training related materials
Will apply established procedures and guidelines to the keeping of records and the preparation of standardized reports
Will create the job descriptions
Will create efficient onboarding programs based on our values creating a strong adhesion within the teams
Will create and implement innovative training programs that includes initial training, on the job training, and regulatory training
Will build Development Programs for continuing team development and career development in line with our company strategy. Development Programs will be implemented by our regional HR teams
Will build a strong Quality Assessment Program within the Operations
Will work with the Operations teams on corrective action plans based on Quality Assessments
Will monitor and assess the effectiveness and success of our Talent Programs
Required skills:
International luxury hospitality background
Experience in managing operations
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Organized and strategic planner
Start-up mentality; comfortable with ambiguity, flexible on timelines and swiftly changing priorities
Highly confidential; exercise absolute discretion and display strong judgement
Effective in a collegiate environment – proficient with articulating ideas and respectfully challenging others
Experienced on HACCP processes and sensitive to work ergonomics
Attention to detail, customer obsessed and resolution focused
Demonstrate competency in coaching, training and development at a HR or operational level
Comfortably working with remote and multicultural teams
Creative approach to training and ability to adapt to different learning styles
Problem solving and thinking creatively
Working knowledge of data analysis, quality assurance and team performance metrics
Relevant university degree BA or equivalent
Fluency in English and Italian (verbal and written)
Based in London 4 days a week, but with frequent travel to property locations within the UK and Europe
