The Role

As Quality Manager you will ensure that the company's product portfolio is fit for purpose, consistent and meets both internal and external requirements. This will include legal compliance and customer expectations. You will fully understand the requirements for the product and services. The goal is to ensure that the products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.

We are passionate about pro actively supporting our environmental guidelines and targets and this will be a focus of this position.

  • Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System and ensure compliance
  • Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
  • Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns in new customer contracts
  • Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
  • Conduct root cause investigations and corrective/preventative action plans on any nonconforming product
  • Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing and engineering team
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (ISO9001)
  • Manage the high level documentation of ISO45001
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system

The Candidate

  • You will have good knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
  • problem solving skills including Six Sigma (green belt preferable)
  • Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or ONC, A Levels, BTec Diploma Level 4 or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification
  • Previous experience in a high volume manufacturing automotive environment or Tier-1 supplier to the automotive industry
