Salary: £ 55,000 - £ 70,000 p.a. + benefits

The RoleLead, manage and develop the quality team and create a proactive and right first-time culture. Ensure that manufacturing quality processes and problem resolution are fit for purpose. Work with key business stakeholders to create a culture of quality within the business. Coach, mentor and develop members of the Quality Team to improve their skills. Ensure that an effective internal audit procedure is established, carried out and maintained. Ensure that the QMS system is regularly reviewed, improved, and maintained. Ensure that Quality Objectives are set by the Senior Management Team in order to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the QMS. Ensure an up-to-date knowledge of latest technical developments, processes and procedures are maintained and communicated across Engineering and Operational Teams. Identify, develop, and implement ways to apply latest technological advances in order to improve cost, quality and delivery. Manage internal and external audits (such as AS9100, NADCAP, and customer audits). Drive continuous improvement throughout the business.
The PersonProven experience in a senior role of Quality within an Engineering and Manufacturing environment. Good understanding of the latest Lean and CI techniques and processes. Proven leading and management experience with excellent coaching and mentoring skills. Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands whilst meeting operational deadlines. Thorough knowledge and understanding of Aerospace quality standards and business systems. Educated to HND or Degree level in a relevant Technical/Engineering subject.
