Quality Manager role working for a market leading fabrics and textiles company. Senior Management role based in Rochdale.

Our client is a well established company who produce fabrics and textiles based in Rochdale.

Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for defining and delivering the Quality strategy that maintains and drives standards for the companies product and service offer.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the business provides its customers with the highest quality product & service at all times and to create relationships with internal and external partners that drive overall improvements, the post holder is the champion of the quality culture.

Responsibilities include the full product life cycle from product development testing and accreditation to the various standards through to launch, product maintenance testing and quality control processes for ongoing production. You will work with the team to ensure the products & Service meet our organisational and customer standards across the board.

Your role will involve working with important customers to resolve issues in a professional and credible timely fashion.

The role will be responsible for further driving the performance and development of a quality function. Working closely with colleagues across the business, influencing and educating, helping others understand the benefits of your recommendations. You will use your quality expertise and know-how to drive positive change that supports the quality agenda

Profile

The ideal candidate will be a Quality Manager in the fabrics and textiles industries. This role requires a diverse range of knowledge including weaving, finishing, dying, FR treatments / testing and FR coating. Therefore, an understanding of fabric testing including Fire Retardancy for drapery and upholstery fabrics is required, in addition to the various physical testing associated with our end use.

� Will have a passion and exposure to new product development within textiles and fabrics

� Educated to degree level or equivalent in a textile discipline

� Proven experience in a similar quality management role

� An understanding of International Fire Retardant Standards would be highly desirable

� You'll have a strong knowledge of relevant UK and international legislation.

� Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills

� An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

� Experienced in the testing procedures of soft fabrics

� Some knowledge of weaving, dying, printing, coating and finishing would very beneficial

� Senior technologist in this sector looking to step up will also be considered.

Job Offer

�45000 to �60,000 depending on experience, plus benefits
