The Recruitment Co is currently recruiting for a Quality lead to join our clients growing team based in the Llanelli area.Contract: Permanent Salary: £42,600 per annum Hours of work: DAYS Full time 37 per week: Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30 & Fridays 08:00 to 13:00. Additional hours & weekend working as and when required.Responsible for: Quality AssuranceQualifications:Educated to a minimum HNC level in an Engineering/Manufacturing/QA disciplineAn appropriate qualification in Mechanical / Production Engineering (Degree or HNC).Knowledge/ Experience Required:Proven background in successful application of QA core tools & techniques supported by excellent problem solving skillsA good working knowledge of metal forming and fabrication processesStrong understanding of OEM Customer Specific Standards & RequirementsAppropriate experience working within an automotive first tier Quality Engineering roleA proven background of leadership abilities combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to plan and manage resources to achieve objectives and priorities despite conflicting agendas and multiple deliverablesA good working knowledge of metal forming and fabrication processesAppropriate experience working within an automotive first tier Quality Engineering role.Ability to lead and motivate a small team / cross functional teams to achieve desired resultsContinuous ImprovementKey Responsibilities:Develop and maintain quality documentation and controlsCompile and submit customer specific documentationTo be a capable user of core quality tools & techniques and their application, typically: SPC, Ishikawa, Histograms, Pareto Charts, Scatter Diagrams, Stratification etcSupport the internal manufacturing teams with regard to the timely resolution of customer and Internal quality concernsSupport the NPI teams during the development of Controls Plans, PFMEA, Gauge Planning etc. and highlight potential failure modes ref Lessons LearntSupport the Internal Audit team by performing various Internal AuditsUnderstanding and utilisation of Automotive Core tools such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA processesChampion to promote compliance to company systems, procedures and control plan requirementsProvide and communicate Quality / process data to the Manufacturing Teams and facilitate actions to improveProvide appropriate training for Shift QEs / Quality Technicians if requiredPro-actively visit customer / supplier locations to resolve customer concerns and maintain high levels of customer liaisonPro-actively visit customer / supplier locations to resolve customer concerns and maintain high levels of customer liaisonIf you feel you are the right candidate for this role then please submit your CV for immediate response.CPSwansea
