Quality Assurance Technician Location: Automotive Manufacturing Environment Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician with a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Culture and experience in the automotive quality environment. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, possess a clean driving licence, and have the ability
to multitask effectively under pressure. Knowledge in calibration and product audits is desirable, but training will be provided. Day to Day of the role:
Evaluate production line rejects against customer acceptance criteria in accordance with defined quality process procedures.Maintain containment of suspect/rejected components to prevent further damage and enable instant traceability.Dispose of rejected components and scrap components as necessary.Perform product audits to ensure assemblies conform to specifications.Verify production operational compliance through process patrol inspection.Participate in CAR Brainstorm sessions to install preventive measures.Support quality training activities and advance quality planning, including ISIR process and new product testing & process validation. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in an automotive quality environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. Experience with MRP systems is an advantage.Ability to read and understand product/process instructions & drawings.Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.Well-developed organisational skills and a proactive approach to responsibilities.Capable of maintaining records, filing, and report writing.
