ATL have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join the team in our Quality Control department. The successful candidate will ensure the inspection and testing of all fuel cells and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.There will be full training given to the successful candidate upon starting in the role. We are looking for somebody with a keen interest in Quality Control and experience working in a Quality inspection role, using equipment such as verniers and height gauges.Job RoleAs a Quality Inspector, you will be required to conduct pressure tests and inspections on any ATL products, as well as goods in inspection, reporting any issues found to a Quality Engineer or Quality SupervisorMain DutiesInspect and pressure test machined, fabricated, electrical and composite parts, reporting any issues foundInspection, marking & processing of Bladders through to Final Assembly from Cell ProductionInspection, marking & processing of Bladders through to Despatch from Cell Production or Final AssemblyLabel parts once inspected while maintaining records in our ERP system and MS Excel logsSupport buddy checks within the Engineering Workshop, Moulding & Final Assembly departments as requiredConduct derivative testing on raw material samples as required following detailed work instructionsWork with the rest of the Quality team to deliver continual improvement across the departmentWork with the rest of the Quality department to ensure that all production areas’ Quality Control requirements are supportedUsing hand metrology equipment to quality control partsProduce inspection reports on items requiring First Article InspectionMaintain QMS critical logs including (but not limited to) those for FIA serial numbers and bond viscosityAssess customer returned bladders before repair or recertificationsRaise Internal and Supplier rejectsEscalating issues found to the correct party in a timely mannerUse environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policySeek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectivesOther jobs within your capabilities may be requested from time-to-time including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil.Responsibilities & CompetenceAbility to read Engineering drawingsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenKnowledge of relevant TS/VDA standards and relevant FIA regulations & standards are desirable but not essentialJob RequirementsOne year of relevant professional experiencePass in GCSE English & Maths as a minimumQualification in an engineering discipline would be advantageous for this positionExperience using basic & electronic metrology equipmentExperience working within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essentialExperience of ISO9001 QMS and BS EN9102 reporting are desirable but not essentialExperience using equipment such as verniers and height gauges is desirable.The PackageSalary - £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience33 days’ annual leaveEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCompany sickness payCycle to Work SchemeRefer a Friend SchemeATL do not offer Tier 2 Sponsorship.
