Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a passion for ensuring precision and accuracy in manufacturing processes? Do you have hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and a good understanding of metrology principles? If so, we have an exciting Quality Inspector role for you.

The company design and manufacture products for the defence sector and due to ongoing growth and expansion they are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using CMM and other metrology equipment.
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to create inspection plans and guidelines.
Conduct precision measurements and tests to identify any defects, non-conformities, or deviations from quality standards.
Collaborate closely with production teams to address quality issues and provide timely feedback for process improvements.
Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of all quality assessments.
Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to corrective action plans.
Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and setup of metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in CMM and metrology technologies.
Skills and Experience

* knowledge of ISO9001:2008 (AS9100:2009 experience preferred).
* Extensive knowledge of metrology processes.
* knowledge and experience of CMM systems (VDMIS, Camio).
* Knowledge and experience and ability to read and understand Engineering drawings (including geometric tolerancing).
* Ability to work at pace in a multi-project environment
* Computer literate with an understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project.
