Actio Engineering recruitment are assisting one of our Exhall based Engineering clients with their search for a Quality Inspector/CMM Programmer.
The Job




  • Work with production and quality engineering to process parts in an effective/timely manner.

  • Inspection of parts where required in line with company policies, procedures and documentation such as engineering drawings, and inspection control plans.

  • Ability to use inspection equipment including callipers, micrometres, OGP, Keyence, CMM (Aberlink Software), TESA technology and hardness testing.

  • Competent when undertaking traditional manual inspection.

  • Raise quarantine documentation where required.

  • Interact with ERP System and data collection software such as Jobshop and Visual FAI.

  • Work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing and Operational teams to eliminate any barriers that may affect the quality.

  • Quality systems experience in ISO9001 / AS9100

  • Key customer requirements knowledge, Rolls-Royce, Rolls-Royce CS, Meggitt, SAFRAN, BAE Systems

  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GD&T

  • Understanding and implementation of best practice inspection methods

  • Operate as part of a team that makes the most effective use of Inspection resource

  • Any other tasks considered commensurate with your role by your Manager.



Candidate Specifications




  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment in essential.

  • Have served a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent level 3 qualification in inspection.

  • Computer literate, ideally with sound knowledge of Microsoft office packages (excel, word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Conversant with Quality procedures and with inspection techniques.

  • Have previous Electronic Inspection equipment Experience is desirable.

  • Have the ability to read, use, understand and interpret all aspects of engineering drawings

  • Ability to set up inspection equipment

  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Flexible and pro-active approach to ensure deadlines are met

  • Experience of using measuring equipment and other inspection techniques



Shifts



Evening shift, Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2am, 10 hour shifts





Rate





�18.61 p/h including shift allowance
