Ref 10968Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental OfficerEastwood, Nottinghamshire30,000 - 35,000 (depending on experience) plus death in service, pension scheme, Christmas vouchers.The QHSE (quality, health, safety and environmental) Officer will be responsible maintaining and executing health and safety standards, building on the HSE systems, with a focus on ongoing compliance and review. This role will also involve developing and overseeing control systems for quality across the business using inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that products adhere closely to company and customer standards.The specific areas the proposed candidate will be responsible for are detailed below.HSE:Be accountable for health and safety performanceCreate and develop existing health and safety policiesImplement and monitor health and safety policiesEstablish health and safety standards and goalsEnsure risk assessments are carried out and safe working procedures are implementedDevelop a positive health and safety cultureConduct regular proactive safety inspectionsProvide guidance and advice to management and health and safety requirementsEnsure health and safety equipment (e.g. PPE) is in place and usedAssess training requirements and arrange trainingAccident and incident investigation and reportingRespond to health and safety related complaints or issuesQuality:Maintain company's quality procedures, standards and specificationsReview customer requirements and make sure they are metWork with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliersSet standards for quality as well as health and safetyMake sure that manufacturing or production processes meet required standardsLook at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiencyMonitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reportsMeasure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvementsLiaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standardsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking manufacturing company if you have a couple of years of QHSE experience and are looking for develop your skills further then this role would be excellent opportunity for you as they are able to offer ongoing training and development.This vacancy is being advertised by Rischer and Butler Resource Solutions part Fresh Start Recruitment (UK) who are acting as an Employment Agency.All respondents to this position must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
