Orion's longstanding client have asked us to support them on adding in a talented Quality Engineer into their successful manufacturing facility. Our clients unique product offering has been supplying into some of the most highly regulated and lucrative industries and is arguably regarded as supplier of choice. Their patented technology allows them to dominate the industries they serve as well as securing super high value projects. 


The Quality Engineer is a brand new vacancy released by their Head of Quality who is looking for someone just like you as an experienced professional - well versed in Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within a manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to work autonomously, providing essential support in administering and processing non-conforming products.

What will you be doing as their newly appointed Quality Engineer?



  • Independently managing the non-conformance process - including issue identification, investigation and root cause analysis methodologies

  • Use Vernier and Callipers, to determine whether issues originate from suppliers or in-house.

  • Collaborate within internal stake-holders such as Production, Design etc.  addressing diverse non-conformities effectively

  • Implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)


What do you need to demonstrate in order to be shortlisted for the Quality Engineer role?



  • Proficiency in manufacturing is crucial, particularly in addressing mechanical issues.

  • Solid experience with tools such as verniers and calipers is necessary for precise measurements and assessments

  • Strong working knowledge of managing the entire non-conformance procedure from inception to resolution involves several key steps

  • Mechanical manufacturing experience is essential

  • The right to work in the UK, please note our client is not able to support either immediate or future sponsorship requests 

  • Able to comfortably commute to the above location Monday to Friday.
