Undertakes & manages testing of more complex code changes across multiple types of testing to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect, based on deep domain and technical expertise. Understands the importance of testing and the Quality Framework within LBG and educates other change disciplines. Looks to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team. Participates in & establishes Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups and shares learning to members of their team. Undertakes mentoring and coaching as well as additional leadership activities. As the Quality Engineer you'll lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions. We are looking for someone who comes from a software engineering or database engineering background that has a solid understanding of DevOps practices, processes and supporting tools. As a minimum to be considered, we would like to see demonstrated experience of:Craft and implement test plans that ensure all objectives are met.Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of our products.Identify and remedy defects within the production process, ensuring we deliver only the best.Compile and analyse statistical data to drive our quality standards.Investigate customer complaints and product issues, turning problems into solutions and opportunities for improvement.It would be great if you also had…ISTQB certificationGCP professional cloud developer certificationAt least one desktop/mobile cloud tool testing experience such as perfecto, BrowserStack or SauceLabs for compatibility testing  A deep understanding of Java / JavaScript / NodeJS / Postman / TDD / BDD Best Practices  Experience or working knowledge of security testing.  Our focus is to ensure we are inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.
