A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturer and supplier to a variety of industries including offshore, renewable energy and marine.

Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)

  • Directly responsible for preparation of all System Certification Packs.
  • Manage the company's calibration register.
  • Collaborate with managers, engineers, and suppliers to develop and implement quality control measures and improvements.
  • Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support customer audits and inspections and address any non-conformances or corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation and records, such as quality plans, inspection reports, nonconformance reports, and audit findings.
  • Work with the Quality Manager on continuous improvement projects.
  • Carry out job tasks safely using good working practises.
  • Ensure good housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
  • To produce electronic certification documents to deliverable target.
  • Maintain the calibration of all site equipment and its associated database.
  • To facilitate effective CAPA actions within the NCR System.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • HNC or above in a manufacturing/quality-based discipline
  • Auditor trained
  • Lead Auditor trained.
  • Lean manufacturing, TQM and continuous improvement tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, six sigma, 5S.
  • Certification in quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer literate (MS Access and excel) * Must be able to read and interpret drawings.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to co-operate and work well with others.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Knowledge of subsea engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Continuous improvement techniques.
  • 3-5 years' experience in quality engineering control activities within a mechanical component environment.
  • Experience with subsea equipment, systems, and technologies, including but not limited to ROVs, subsea trees and umbilical's.
  • Auditor trained.

Additional information:

  • 37 hours per week, 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday
  • Office based, no home/hybrid working available
  • 25 days holidays plus 8 fixed bank holidays
  • 5% pension
  • Overtime - time and half Mon-Sat and double time Sunday
