Quality Engineer / FAIRs Inspector

My client is a reputable aerospace manufacturing company located in Letchworth Garden City, with a strong focus on precision engineering. They specialise in high-performance components and assemblies for the aerospace industry. They are now currently seeking a FAIRS Inspector / Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team.(Quality Engineer) - Position OverviewPerform First article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements and customer specifications.Conduct detailed inspections of aerospace components and assemblies to verify dimensional accuracy, material properties and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.Utilise precision measurement tools and equipment, such as CMM, micrometers, callipers and height gauges to perform accurate inspections.Generate comprehensive FAIR documentation, including inspection reports, measurement data and certification records, to support product traceability and compliance.Provide technical guidance and support to production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques and processes improvements.Stay informed about industry trend, regulatory updates and best proactive in quality assurance to maintain the company's competitive edge.(Quality Engineer) - Position RequirementsProven experience in quality engineering roles within the aerospace and manufacturing industry, with a focus on FAIRs inspection.In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulations, including AS9100, AS9102 and FAI Requirements.Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection techniques.Familiar with quality management software and tools is desirable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.(Quality Engineer) - Position Remuneration Monday to Thursday - 7am - 17:15pmAfter working 3 month, can request to work 6am - 16:15pmFriday and Saturday overtime availabilityInternal training providedOnsite parkingCompany Pension28 days holiday including Bank HolidaysStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
