Quality Controller

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Controller to join our prestigious client in Langport, Somerset, a food business that specialises in the supply and development of award-winning British and Irish beef and lamb products for retail, foodservice and wholesale.The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high standards of food quality control and assurance.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £12.80 per hourWorking hours: Monday to Friday, day shift, 6.00am to finish, aprox 40 hours per week**Responsibilities:**- Inspect and identify carcasses for contamination and removal of contamination.- Check products against customer specification.- Check labelling and packaging of products is correct against customer specification,- Check crate composition, contents and product numbers against customer specification.- Contribute to maintain a clean, tidy, safe and food safe work environment.- Ensure all final products are checked for all quality and hygiene attributes.- Reject any product which does not meet specifications, reporting quality defects and issues to line supervisor or production manager and retaining product for further inspection.- Cover for other QCs as required.- Carry out CCP checks on products that are identified as a risk.**Requirements:**- Previous experience in food production sector, quality control/assurance or a related filed.- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles- Strong analytical skills to assess product quality effectively- Attention to detail and accuracy in work- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsBenefits:
