Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Location: Tenterden, Kent

Salary: up to �30,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Role Summary:

You will be an instrumental part in continuing to develop the quality control process from start to final pack. You'll be responsible for delivering the sample plan for products and working closely with the production team to ensure the delivery of high-quality results.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Ownership of the quality control sample plan and the testing requirements to meet the plan.
  • Report all quality control data and trends as required.
  • Collaborate with the production making team to ensure timely completion of quality control testing.
  • Oversee the day to day operation of the laboratory and testing regime.
  • Maintain quality control and food safety records to ensure traceability of product.
  • Drive standard of testing to ensure calibration of equipment and the development of testing techniques.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes of quality control non-compliance or deviations in food safety standards.
  • Responsible for COSHH and risk assessments relevant with the role.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Quality control experience within a beverage or food production environment, ideal.
  • Experience within a quality control/laboratory environment, worked to a testing protocol and used basic testing equipment and techniques.
  • Familiar with working to a Food Safety/Quality Standards.
  • The ability to use a variety of quality control-related software packages.
  • IT literate with strong excel skills.
  • HACCP knowledge to minimum level 2.
  • Oenological knowledge, ideal.
  • Able to act on own initiative, be proactive and work as part of a team.
  • Be able to communicate results and discuss openly ways to improve ways of working.
  • Be able to work under pressure and maintain a flexible approach.
  • You must drive due to location.
