My client, based in the South East, is a leading company in the supply of flavours and essential oils into the flavour, fragrance and food sectors. They are now looking to recruit a progressive and enthusiastic manager to run their Quality Control laboratory and a small QC team, becoming part of their wider company Quality Assurance team.



Role



You will be responsible for running and maintaining analytical equipment including Gas Chromatography, HPLC and Mass Spectrometry though specific training will be provided where necessary.



You will be very hands on in your work and also take on management of a small Quality Control team.



You will be expected to become an integral part of production meetings and as part of the QA team will participate in company GMP audits and join their HACCP team.



Requirements



You will be working within the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, fragrance, flavours or food ingredients industries as a Quality Manager or Quality Control Lab manager, or possibly a Senior QC Analyst looking for a new challenge. Knowledge of the flavour/fragrance and/or essential oils industry would be beneficial, but a good understanding of analytical and quality procedures is more important.



You will ideally�have experience managing a small team within a Quality Control or Lab environment.



You will hold a degree or equivalent in Chemistry, a Masters or PhD in a related subject area would also be desirable. You will have experience in running and maintaining analytical equipment including Gas Chromatography, HPLC and Mass Spectrometry.



You will have experience of working with HACCP and BRC accreditation.
