Are you an experienced Quality Control Inspector, within Mechanical Engineering?

Our client is a large Consultancy with expertise in the Nuclear sector. They are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to work on their project on Hinkley Point C. Working on the MEH Alliance on this specialist project, you will be a part of the Quality team, ensuring the delivery of all the MEH, cabling and associated work is checked and support is given. You will be assisting different contractors to deliver on their targets for complex installations of cabling and pipework.

The role requires SC Clearance. You must hold this or be able to. If you don't know what SC clearance is and/or don't know if you can achieve this, please check the .gov website (It is not a DBS!)

The role is full time. Every other week is a 4 day week. You will be based on site at Hinkley Point C. Secondment allowance is available for accommodation of those who have over a 2 hour drive.

The role:
·Liaising with different parties including the client to conduct inspections on a daily basis.
·Perform inspections in accordance to the Inspection and Test Plan.
·Ensure all installation of equipment meets the regulations, matches the drawings, and uses the correct materials.
·Maintaining LTQR's and then signing off work.

Experience and requirements needed:
·Experienced Mechanical Quality Control Inspector.
·Experience of working in Highly Regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence or Oil & Gas.
·Experience with rotational equipment
·API1658 (Desirable)
·An engineering degree or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (Desirable)
