Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Duration: Permanent
Pay Rate: �28,392 - �34,070 per annum
We are currently recruiting for a number of Quality Control Inspector's for permanent positions based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager you will assist the Senior Quality Engineer in assessing the quality of the company's products, ensuring they comply with the requirements set out within the ISO 9001 certification.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that finished products are quality checked and tested, and all that relevant documentation is completed before it leaves the site.
  • Raise any queries which may be detected, and where recurring themes arise, they are escalated to the quality assurance team for focused improvement activity.
  • Audit compliance with ISO 9001 QMS and Kite-mark license.
  • Inspection of all production and stockyard areas and reporting of defects/deviations.
  • Draw up spreadsheets compiling findings and recommend process/product quality improvements to assist continuous improvement.
  • Raise NCR's/NOD's as required.
  • Check special attention loads.
  • Liaising with suppliers as well as the Client.
  • Work flexibly with other departments and customers.
  • Communicate findings, conclusions, and proposals effectively in writing.


Experience Required:

  • Excellent attention to detail and able to demonstrate experience in working in this type of role.
  • Being able to set up processes and procedures from scratch and follow them.
  • A willingness to go into the detail.
  • A curious nature and mental agility.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Can work in a matrix structure and develop good working relationships.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to promoting behaviours aligned to the Company's visions, values and code of conduct.
  • You should have 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including Maths and English. Relevant degree is desirable.
  • Experience or knowledge of working with precast concrete products.
  • Knowledge of Quality, Quality Assurance, Inspection, Testing, Checking.
  • Self-motivated and confident.
  • You will possess previous quality inspection and material testing experience within a manufacturing environment.


Working Hours:

  • Full-time.
  • Weekend availability.
  • Monday to Friday.
