An international manufacturing business is looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join the team at their Sunderland site on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quality Control with the ability to inspect materials welds.

Your Knowledge & Experience

• A proven career as a Quality Engineer with ability to inspect welds, dimensions, paint processes.


• Good knowledge of welding processes – MAG, TIG SMAW – along with knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO3834


• Experience in EN1090-2 would be good, but not essential


• You will be confident using measuring equipment


• Any professional welding qualifications you have will be beneficial.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensuring manufacturing conformity


• Supporting the inspection of the product, including raw material and finished components at supplier premises, right through to final inspection


• Identifying any non-conformities


• Supporting with welder qualification, execution of welding repairs and the development of welding technologies.


• Supporting the auditing process both internal and external
