We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Nurse (RGN/RMN) to take on the role of Quality Compliance Officer at Spellman Care.



The successful candidate will support the Managers in our four homes and the Group Operations Manager.



Your responsibilities and duties would include:




  • Ensuring that residents are at the heart of care documentation and their wishes, preferences and involvement forms an integral part of the care planning process

  • Provide coaching and guidance to staff to ensure correct care documentation in particular care planning, medicines and supplementary recording.

  • Take a hands on approach to ensure care plans are of the highest standard through sound knowledge of residents and ensuring triangulation throughout all documentation and direct involvement in writing care plans and risk assessments to continuously develop these to ensure they are robust and of an excellent standard.

  • Ensure that life history and person centred information is detailed throughout care plans and risk assessments and other relevant care documentation

  • To have a good understanding of MCA to ensure good standards of care documentation

  • To monitor and implement robust medicines management system ensuring detailed prn protocols are in place and that all related documentation is of a high standard.

  • To ensure triangulation of all documentation in particular care plans, risk assessments, medicines documentation.

  • To ensure effective implementation of actions from audits ensuring the loop is closed with regard to governance to ensure the very highest standards are achieved and that good practice is embedded.

  • To assist with audits as directed.

  • Work within the relevant Code of Conduct, e.g. NMC

  • Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management

  • Work in accordance with relevant legislation and contractual requirements

  • Keep abreast of current best practice and strive to promote a culture of continuous improvement withing the services

  • Any other reasonable duties that will be expected as per management request.

  • A pro-active, hands on approach to improving documentation with key focuses on care planning, supplementary recording and medication



Previous experience as Clinical Lead/Quality Assurance is required.



Driving licence essential as you will be required to attend all 4 homes, based in Guiseley, Steeton, Silsden & Skipton.



Working Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 - some flexibility is required
