Quality Assurance Team Leader/ Front Line Manager



Exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Team Leader to join a well established food manufacturer based in Northern Ireland.



We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the QA team as team leader, organizing the day-to-day work for the team and covering for the QA & Compliance Manager when required.



You will have team leading / supervisory experience and the ability and motivation to stand in for the QA Manager when absent or working on other projects. You will have experience dealing with audits and liaising with senior managers in the business to ensure compliance across the factory.



Essential Criteria:




  • minimum of three years' experience in a similar role within a

  • food manufacturing environment.

  • experience managing and developing a quality assurance team.

  • A broad understanding of quality assurance measures/quality standards

  • (BRC, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, RSPO),

  • Experience of leading on audits

  • IT literate in Microsoft packages

  • Health and safety awareness

  • HACCP/ Food Safety qualification



Duties:




  • Organise the day-to-day work for the QA team and cover for the QA team and QA Manager when required.

  • Promote and protect quality standards and product integrity by strict monitoring and auditing of systems.

  • Carry out Internal audits, ensuring compliance against BRC, HACCP, ISO 9001,

  • ISO 14001, and RSPO.

  • Support the QA Manager in external audits.

  • Problem solving skills including root cause analysis, implementation of corrective action and control of non-conforming products.

  • Analysis of microbiological and chemical results / trends and determination of corrective action / preventative measures as required.

  • Ensure all quality controls in respect to raw materials, process flow, finished products, packaging and environmental matters are adhered to strictly.

  • Complete product and customer specifications.

  • Monitor allergen control and hygiene best practice throughout the site

  • Investigating customer complaints and report on actions taken
