Our client is a leading engineering manufacturing business who design and build a wide range of automated machinery which is sold to customers all over world and Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Quality Assurance & Safety Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the company's quality management system and to oversee the health & safety system associated with the design, assembly, manufacture of automated machinery and after-sales servicing activities.

The Role:

Reporting to the Director you will be the focal point for all quality assurance and health & safety policies and procedures and you will lead the process for driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.

Your duties will include but is not limited to the the following;

Maintain, develop and improve the company's quality management system
Oversee safety and environment compliance
Monitor, report and develop KPI's
Lead & develop continuous improvement throughout all areas of the business
Deploy quality improvement and problem solving tools e',g. 5 Whys, 8D, Ishikawa etc etc
Internal & external auditing
Manage and control internal QSE training records and external
Manage accident & incident reporting and corrective actionsCandidate:

You will be a competent Quality Manager ideally with previous health & safety management experience.

Ideally you will have work experience in the manufacturing and/or engineering sectors.

Ability to drive continuous improvement philosophy and promote company approach to QSE management is essential.

You will be a qualified internal auditor and preferably hold IQA Membership. Applicants with a NEBOSH general certificate or IOSH certification will be beneficial.

You will be a highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to engage with staff at all levels and to cultivate a positive quality & safety culture throughout the company.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours
