£40k - £45k per annum, negotiable dependent on experience

Family-owned Food Business looking for a Quality Manager for their site based in Northamptonshire. To work closely with the Technical Manager and team to ensure all products are safe, legal, authentic and fulfil quality expectations of customers and consumers.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:
Assisting the factory in the preparation and delivery of successful Third-party audits including BRCGS
Ensuring the Quality Management System is fully implemented
Continuously improving factory standards and finished product quality with regards GMP and Hygiene, maintaining and updating procedures and Quality Attribute Sheets
Investigating and managing the root causes of complaints
Deputising for the Site Technical Manager
Developing a HACCP system with clearly defined quality controls for all areas
Contributing to supplier review and approval
Ensuring QAs and QCs are effective within their areas, developing their competencies through training and development
Essential / Desirable skills include:
Qualifications and experience in managing Quality within Food Manufacturing
Experience of high-risk or chilled environments (other Food Manufacturing backgrounds may be considered)
Significant involvement in site Food Safety Audits
Ability to analyse data and to drive quality improvements
A problem solver, confident challenging and influencing behaviours in a fast-paced environment
Team management or supervisory experience

The working hours are 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, ideally 8am – 6pm, with some flexibility. The salary for the role is £40k - £45k per annum, negotiable dependent on experience.
