Every voice counts!The RoleThe primary purpose of the role is to manage the Juniper software QA/Testing team with required testing and defect tracking. Ensuring systems operate as expected based on requirements received from the Juniper Product function. This will include liaising with Juniper Operations along with any relevant third-party suppliers to ensure that systems are delivered to a high quality and meet business requirements.It is expected that the Test Manager has experience managing Test or QA teams within an Agile environment. This will include experience in people and performance management of your Teams. You will be managing a team of 6 test analysts using an Agile environment - capturing test cases and defects using Jira and Confluence.You will be responsible for escalating any system related issues and for verifying any specific data issues. The Test Manager will work within the Technology department and will help drive consistent high-quality systems for the business and its Product needs. The Test Manager is expected to have a solid understanding of the following areas – Writing effective test Cases, Agile User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, Automated Testing, Regression Testing, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.Responsibilities:Responsible for the quality of software testing for both web and desktop-based products.Proficient with Agile software methodologies – SCRUM, KanbanExcellent knowledge of Agile management systems including Jira and ConfluenceExcellent ability to provide Test Team reports – highlighting issues and test progress within sprints.Ensuring the Juniper Test Team function to the best of their ability and help set them up for success.Ability to read and analyze application & design requirements (User Stories) with a good attention to detail.Participate in requirements gathering and planning sessions in order to determine required test casesGood knowledge of testing tools – including automated testing and building regression test packsAttending daily stand-up meetings and providing testing updatesProviding testing updates to key stakeholders and exec teamsRaising defects within Jira and working closely with software development team for resolutionAbility to write and capture test cases for specific requirements in the form of User StoriesData centric testing – data import and export processesDiscuss with business users & IT developers to understand the scope of projects and the key featuresAbility to provide accurate and realistic estimations on testing requirementsGood knowledge of testing both desktop and web-based applications• Testing responsibilities shall include;System Testing (first and second testing)End to End TestingRegression testingUser Acceptance Testing (may delegate to front end user)Non-Functional testing o Performance testingRequirements:Experience of managing a Test team.Working closely you’re your team and Software Engineering to help reduce defects and ensure systems function as expected.Experience required as a Test Manager.Experience of working with testing software (such as X-Ray) to produce test based reporting.Experience of working with multiple data file formats including XML, JSON, CSV and Fixed width text filesExperience of analysing data to identify data related issues and provide associated information and support to help address any data issues identified.Experience of monitoring and maintaining SFTP transfer servers and associated mechanismsGeneral knowledge of ETL/Data Transformation processes during database import procedures – including good knowledge of general database schemas and data field formatsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to liaise with all levels of personnel appropriately and professionally.Excellent Team Management skills – including both team and individual performance appraisals and on-going personal development for your team members.
