The company takes pride in meeting all customer requirements and operates from 3 distribution locations in the UK, serving customers locally and throughout Europe.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Manager at Carrick Packaging in Glasgow. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality control operations, implementing and maintaining quality management systems, conducting audits and inspections, and managing the quality control team. The role will require close collaboration with production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement.Purpose/Key ResponsiblitiesAs key member of the management team the Quality Manager will;1)\tLead/assist in the development and implementation of improvements to quality procedures and systems, to assure ongoing compliance with relevant quality standards and customer requirements.2)\tWork closely with the manufacturing organization to ensure that;Product quality standards are appropriately approved, in place and in use for routine production. All goods which are sent to customers meet the agreed test and inspection criteria set.Production documentation is accurate, complete and adequate to support product disposition criteria.Records from the manufacturing area are filed/archived and maintained appropriately.3)\tProvide leadership, guidance and day to day management to the Quality Oversight Specialist4)\tLead the execution and management of both the internal audit programme and the external supplier quality management programme. Drive CAPA close out and reporting process.5)\tDrive the Operational Quality Committee process used for the ongoing management of quality issues and quality improvement activities.6)\tPlay a lead role in the root cause investigation of significant production failures or customer complaints as appropriate. Oversee the agreement and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Review effectiveness of actions.7)\tEnsure that a robust training process is in place. Through internal audit assure employees in area are fully trained and that their training profiles are maintained updated. 8)\tDrive the use of metrics to drive continuous improvement in the factory. Contribute to/oversee the collection of data for key metrics and lead the use of key trends/findings to drive improvements.9)\tImplement and oversee preparation of periodic reports related to manufacturing and quality performance.10)\tLead the development and implementation of key continuous improvement projects across all aspects of the business. Provide timely progress reports to senior management.11)\tPlay a lead role in Quality and Continuous Improvement related training and development activities within the department.12)\tComply with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.13)\tCarrying out any other tasks/duties deemed appropriate by senior management to satisfy the needs/benefit of the company.KEY ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS:1) Intelligence - The goals and objectives of the organization should be clear in the mind of the individual and they have a vision of their how their role/duties contribute to the success of the company.2) Literacy and Numeracy - Must be a competent writer of technical, quality and production documentation e.g. quality procedures or written reports3) Flexibility – Priorities or demands of the business etc may change. Flexibility is essential to modify plans to suit the changing conditions.4) Enthusiasm – An enthusiastic person which will enable them to carry out their duties in a positive, efficient and well planned manner.5) Drive – A self-driven, positive and results-oriented approach is essential. A clear focus on high performance measures such as maximising efficiency, minimising waste/costs must be maintained.6) Perseverance – Must show enthusiasm for any activity they do and continually strive to deliver and improve upon past performance - perseverance is essential.7) Resourcefulness – Success will be achieved by making maximum efficient use of the resources available. Strong planning and organisational skills are required.8) Decision Making – The ability to effectively gather and analyse all necessary information, and to
consult/communicate
with key stakeholders, is essential to enable well informed decision making.9) Communication skills –.
