Job Description

Syntech Recruitment are currently looking for an Quality Assurance Inspector to work for a well
established manufacturing business. You will be responsible to support the company in its strategic
objectives through the provision of a technically strong Quality support function involving both assurance
and control aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand the requirements ISO 9001:#####
  • Using the production plan continually strive to reduce internal and external concerns through patrol inspection.
  • Undertake "first off" inspection to release products efficiently to production.
  • Undertake "QC Batch Visual Inspection" to release products efficiently to Packing & Dispatch.
  • Undertake "QC Batch Dimensional Inspection" to release products efficiently to Packing & Dispatch.
  • To provide Inspection support on 'at risk' processes.
  • To assist with new product introduction and improvement initiatives.
  • To assist with the development and use of appropriate statistical techniques for process control and improvement.
  • To maintain departmental and site Quality metrics & Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Control the receipt of free issue and customer supplied metalwork.
  • To assist the QA Lead ensuring all equipment is calibrated with appropriate certificates of calibration and schedule is maintained.
  • To produce dimensional reports for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain material traceability throughout the system ensuring documentation is kept current and available in line with standards established
  • To support customer and regulatory approval audits.
  • To represent the quality department at internal and off site meetings as required, may include supplier audits.
  • To support all areas of the business as necessary in line with business requirements.
  • Liaise with other departments for example technical and operations to ensure delivery of conforming products to our Customers.
  • Supporting audits both internal and external.
  • Lead problem solving and continuous improvement activity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers and approval authorities.
  • Provide support to the wider team as required.
