The Bread Factory is a Food Manufacturing bakery dedicated to making deliciously crafted bread, cakes, and pastries. We are proud to craft products for our GAIL’s bakeries, neighborhood grocery stores, restaurants, and more!As our teams grow, we are on the lookout for our next Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team.Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:Manage the site document control system.Raise, issue and coordinate action for Supplier Non-conformances. Coordinating with the Group Raw Manager/Technologist.Be the key customer contact in relation to specifications/artwork/ labelling and associated technical queries on site.Support in customer complaint & investigations liaise with the relevant parties.Provide information for periodic KPI reports.Coach the teams in food safety and quality standards and requirementsEnsure non-conforming finished product is not released to customer and investigations are completed and closed out in accordance to QMS.Manage product sample requests, microbiological, nutritional and chemical testing samples and collections.Carry out internal audits in accordance with the agreed site schedule.Train updated quality system procedures and product information to relevant teams.Conduct traceability audits and present internally and to customers when required; to include forward, backward, and mass balanceDeputise for Site Quality Manager.Key Performance indicatorsDocumentation up to date on logs and issued to relevant departments for useCustomer requirements met; questionnaires, required information, queries answered in a timely mannerCustomer complaints handled effectively and in a timely manner.Information required for KPI reports provided on timeProduct analytical sampling completed to planNon-conformances completion with agreed corrective and preventive actions, root cause and within agreed timescalesCompleting traceability and internal audits in accordance with the site schedule.Our team tells us you will be a great addition if you have…good literacy and numeracy skillsaccuracy and attention to detailorganised and good time managementgood written and verbal communication skillsInfluencing and expectation management skillsBSc or above professional qualification in Food Safety or similar field (Desirble)3+ years food manufacturing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentLevel 3 HACCP (Desirable)Internal Audit TrainingProficient in Microsoft packagesWhat’s in it for you?Free products on the jobFamily-friendly policies such as enhanced maternity and paternity pay, and grandparents' leave50% GAIL’s discount card and 40% off at The Bread Factory & The Flour Station Markets.
